Thanks for visiting - here's a little bit about me....
Fabric and sewing have been part of my life since I first learned to sew on my mom's Bernina when I was 10 years old and in 4-H. Over the years I have done garment and home dec sewing, and then about 20 years ago I started quilting by taking my first class at Patched Works quilt shop
Quilting today has room for so many diverse interests. I love the look of traditional quilts and the way they connect us to the artists of the past. I love that modern quilters are taking old techniques in new directions, and I love the depth and expressiveness of art quilts.
My longarm adventure began in 2011, and its been a fun, creative and colorful one. I've learned so much and met so many great people. Customers drop off quilt tops that just take my breath away. I'm happy to make suggestions for your project, but I collaborate with my customers, I don't dictate. Because, when the quilt is complete, it goes home with you!
If you are new to quilting, I'm always available and willing to coach and encourage quilters. Its important to press forward and enjoy the process as much as the final product. I want my customers to be proud of the fact they handmade something that brings beauty and warmth to the world.
.I have a background in business and interior design. I would love to quilt for you, or if you have any other sewing or design projects you would like help with, let's talk!
Thanks for reading, looking forward to meeting you, and Happy Quilting! Ellen
